Which Label Is Right For You?

Which Label is Right for You?

Labels can play a key part in brand protection and product security but how do you know which type is right for you? Deciding which specific label type will best meet your business needs can be a daunting task. To ensure you select the best option there are a number of different factors to consider.

Hologram Labels
Tests have shown that consumers prefer products bearing a hologram/custom holographic sticker when looking for an original brand; giving product credibility and a feeling of quality. We can print a variety of different holographic images onto standard labels and combine security and branded goods authenticity, with stylish designs featuring company logos and/or serial numbers.

The benefits of using holograms include:
• Cannot be reproduced
• Enhance packaging appeal and brand awareness
• Combat counterfeiting
• Quick and easy to validate
• Customised to your patented brand/logo

Hot Foil Labels
A cheaper alternative for a hologram is Hot foil stamping which performs well in most applications, while still providing a feeling of quality.

We offer a wide choice of functionality, colours and patterns supplied to a consistently high standard; to a large and diverse range of markets worldwide. We achieve the technical standards required whilst creating eye-catching packaging design specified by our valued customers.

Destructible Labels
Destructible labels can help to deter theft by either leaving an adhesive mark on a product when peeled off or stopping removal by using an ultra-strong adhesive.

We use the highest quality materials when producing destructible labels to ensure that any removal or fraudulent re-use attempt of your labels are made impossible. We pride ourselves in being able to provide the right material, adhesive and finish for a label that will match the application it’s being used for.

UV & Thermal Inks
Colour shifting, fluorescing and UV inks can provide measures that identify genuine and counterfeit products.

• Colour Shifting Inks – Provide an overt authentication feature to any product to give customers confidence they are buying genuine goods. Components of a label shift colours when viewed from different angles.
• Fluorescing Inks – Under regular light labels look normal, however under UV illumination they will blaze with coloured fluorescence.
• Invisible UV Inks – Hidden messages, logos or barcodes (1D or 2D) can be applied to a label, anywhere you would use standard thermal transfer ribbons. Under UV illumination these markings will flare with fluorescence which allows you to use cover track and trace procedures to monitor counterfeits.

Tamper Evident
Tamper-evident design is predominantly used in the area of product packaging and labelling, where it can be vital to know that the product has not been altered since it left the manufacturer.

These labels are designed to either fragment into pieces when removed or leave behind a pattern or text and you can choose either void or destructible tamper evident materials.

Benefits of tamper evident labels:
• Deter theft
• Prevent fraud and counterfeiting
• Security seals can be customised
• Enforce non-transferable warranties with security seal warranty labels
• Provide evidence if an item has been opened (e.g. sterile medical equipment)
